With this page I wish to pay tribute:
To my pappou (grandfather) Spyros Nitsos who was a great builder. He built houses, churches, schools, footpaths all over Greece-from Sparta in the Pelopponese to the Stadiou streets footpaths in Athes and schools in towns and villages in Epirus.
To my paternal pappou Michael who I never met, I only know him from a photograph taken before WW II.
To my father who worked as a builder since he was 11 years old, and to my mother who cared for all of us, all the time.
To all the people of Pyrsogianni who have worked very hard anywhere they lived, since their village was very poor and could not support them, so they migrated to USA, to Germany, to Australia.
To all the young people of Pyrsogianni who continue to care for the village and the art of stone masoning - and they now train young Europeans in this magnificent trade.
The numerous Web Pages which were the source of material, photgraphs, backgrounds and links for use in this page.
The service provider http://www.arafura.net.au/ for the support and the hospitality.
And I would like to thank all to you who have seen my page and forwarded your comments encouraging me to continue developing this page.
And a special thanks to my wife Margaret and my sons Alexander and Michael for their patience and understanding for the time I have spent infront of the computer designing, writing, changing, and publisshing this page.
